This group is advocating the use of Ranked Choice Voting in Ontario municipal elections.

January 2011, on a similar theme around the country, take a look at RaBIT in Toronto.

These web sites provide many useful links to various other organizations promoting preference ranked voting systems (Ranked Choice Voting is Instant Runoff Voting which is Alternative Vote) Although each incantation has exactly the same idea behind it, there may be differences in the way each group promotes recording the votes, counting them, breaking ties and presenting the results.
It is not a simple case of "apples and more apples".
